Compared with the latest Yamaha and Triumph 600s it 'looks' heavy. Too fat a rear end IMO. Great front end though.

Thought the same thing when i bought the 06, fitting a tail tidy and removel of the black exhaust trim, cleans it up no end....

Quite a brave colour of anodising on the wheels and forks of the silver one,but it seems to work ok?

Yeah, apparently it's very similar to the motor from the '06 ZR-6RR. But then I remember reading about the claimed rev limit on the 6RR being... errr... a little optimistic. But in any case it's going to need big revs to top the 636's headline power.

Nice red wheels on the silver one, but in that case why can't we have green wheels on the green one? Or perhaps purple like the good old days!

I'm rather taken with the black one..

apparently even though they're reducing the cc to 599 they have some trickery-pokery which will boost the midrange and torque. This ll be interesting in a road-test.

Still think someone wants to be brave and bring out a GSXR750 competitor.. New Zx7 anyone?

Oh and i rather like the anodising on the Silver one too!!

The screens on 600's just seem to be getting smaller and smaller. Being a proper sized man at 6'2" I struggle to get behind the screen of my bike and this looks even smaller eek

At the end of the day it is a Kwaka, so it will probably have stonking engine and head banging (read slightly scary) handling

Yeah these current 600's are pretty tiny in all dimensions..
But luckily im a funsized 5'10" guy so dont need a greenhouse window infront of me

Regarding Kwaka.. yep they certainly seem to be trying to lose their slightly soft image of the late 90's.. A combination of the new zx6, the zx10 which started as totally insane, to now - totally insane minus 1 tenth plus the Z1000's etc, i'm hoping this trend continues cause really i'm a true Kwak fan through n through..

Deffo agree about the Screens, i'm only 5'10 and it was the first thing the 06 bike needed, don't get may head ripped off at more than 100 leptons anymore.....
