Aprilia...Hard as nails
Discussion
Well, on my 3rd outing on my Aprilia I have managed to stuff it into a hedge. I ran out of talent on a sweeping right bend and my front wheel dug in the grass.
Amazingly the only thing that seems to have been damaged is the indicator which will pop back on.
The mirror just turned round and avoided damage, even after pulling out a bucket load of grass and mud the fairings seem fine!
I think I got a bit winded and knocked my head on the grass but apart from that I'm ok.
Anyone know how to get grass stains out of jeans?

I'd listen to Chilli, HP - he's stacked it enough to be the voice of experience!
Chilli - you made a firm decision on your bike to cherish yet?

In fact, our "errors of judgement" seem to be rather similar, except I seemed to have more mud on my trousers that grass!
Not yet mate.....Loads of people telling me not to, and they are the guys I ride with...So might leave it till the new year now.

Yeah, "mud"!
Why are they saying not to?

Well, it's the fact that I don't curerently get anywhere near 100% out of the R6. My reasoning is that I wanna go faster, albeit in a straight line. their response its that there won't be much in it. Then I say that I want a weekend toy, and a daily commute. Their response is that I should get the parts for the R6 to get it back into tip top condition, and buy a cheap daily commute.....Like a Falco, or something. I actually like the falco, quite a lot!
Be careful what you say here.....Kiwi_Uk is one of "them"!!
I love my Falco. I don't ride her very often at the moment, but always end up grinning when I do. I'm not sure they're the ideal commuting hack, but they're certainly a bargain at the moment - you get loads of bike for your money. They're a better choice for more open roads than town commuting I reckon. The other thing is that if you do decide that one's not for you, I'm not sure how easy it would be to sell back on.

If you want my 2p worth, I agree that you should stick with the R6 and get a cheap hack to commute with. Even though I love R1s, the styling is much bolder with the R6. I think your bike is WAY too new for you to have written it off in your head to being a commuter to get bashed and scuffed.
Plus, as you've said, you're not getting 100% out of it yet. Get a cb500 or something like that for your commute, and give the R6 the love it should get at it's age!!!

Do you think we should have a sinbin for people that ride in jeans. Especially for those who are running out of tallent in jeans.
