Another update on Richard Brunstrom's blog. There's a link on the MCN website.

I've just read 6 paragraphs about 2 guys who rightly deserved to be punished, fair enough. He then manages to squeeze in 1 paragraph about how not all bikers ride like this and adds a link to the bikesafe website. How in any way is that a well rounded argument. He implies that alot of bikers ride like this which just isn't true. Its totally negative and doesn't even try to look at why a motorcycle is a positive mode of transport.

I'm sure Mr Brunstrom could quite easily apply this same form of victimisation agains't any number of motorists. If one crazy idiot drives a Citroen 2CV like a nutter, they must all act like that.

I'm wondering if North Wales senior police are just on a campaign to goad bikers into saying or doing silly things at the moment. For every item of constructive feedback they receive on their blogs, I expect they will get 10 or more foaming at the mouth responses that will simply be used against bikers / motorists in general.

It's funny when you watch the video, the thing that shines out of it like a megawatt light house is the terrible lane discipline displayed by many of the other vehicles. There are also *some* undertakes displayed by the bikers that I would not try myself unless I was feeling very lucky indeed.

This blog gives us the truth about the establishments view of road safety. It's all about speed. Providing that you stick to the limit, your driving can be as sub-standard as you like. We, the establishment, like our over simplified view of the world. Who cares if it’s tangential to reality? We’ve never cared before!

I might have been persuaded to have some respect for the blog concerned if he’d mentioned some of the other poor driving displayed, which we all see on a daily basis. As it is, North Wales pigs should be treated as the stinky bait they are.
