Riders Edge bike training
Discussion
Hi - I've jumped in here from my normal Elise haunt to ask if anyone has any experience of Riders Edge in Wales. My other half has a hankering to have a go on a Harley and I was thinking of buying him one of the "Day with Harley Davidson" for novices days. Anyone done it and can recommend it - or any other similar things?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Stephanie.
I can't recommend any rider training organisations as I only had to ride 100yds in a straight line when I took my test. However, I know a lot of people are advocates of just doing it in 5 days. I'm sure if you go with one of the bigger companies you'll be ok. Alternatively - you could ask on a bigger bike forum where more people might be able to help. MCN used to have a really big forum or there is always VisorDown.

Hiya
Regards to your question.......... get him out on a proper bike and forget about the Harley stuff...unless he's 80 ,

Tell me - I'm not a Harley fan. However, he's not the quickest behind the wheel so I'm thinking - Harley = slow = safe, so that's OK. (mentally prepare myself to be shot down by all Harley fans.....).
These guys do the week long training and pass your test at the end course - but I'm thinking just a sort of taster day for the moment. Then if he gets the bug and passes his test I'll get him onto something like a Moto Guzzi. I can of course then revert back to my Ducati days and just wait for him every 50 miles or so
