Got a TL1000r a couple of weeks ago and just yesterday i heard a clicking at regular intervals while at low speed,at all speeds too probably but at faster intervals:-),how in the hell i managed to hear it on a Vtwin with race cans i'll never know, anyhoo,i got home, switched engine off and rolled it back and forward, you hear the click, click, click? All pads are brand new and secure, wheel bearing maybe?I can recreate the same noise as well if i slightly roll the bike and press the brake lever on and off at the same time?Just the second the brakes hit the disc?Which is puzzling.Anyone any ideas?Never had a bearing go on a bike before so im not familiar with the symptoms!(17,000 miles incidentally)

Does it have the fully floating discs like the GSXR?

If so, they have a little round pin at the base of every leg attaching the disc to the wheel and they're supposed to allow a little movement of the disc, so as you move slowly, there's a slight noise, goes away as you build up speed as the centrifugal force overcomes the gravity acting on the disc.

If it has a mechanical speedo drive, it could be that.

Unless you have aftermarket discs they won't be fully floating. OEM discs are semi-floating and use a spring washer between the bobbin, carrier and disc. Only if you can deflect disc from the the carrier with no effort do you have fully floating discs.

My Zx6r had this issue....

Lifted the front wheel and spun it.. you could see the pads in one of the callipers were catching on the disc, lifting up and then getting released and dropping back down again.

I already needed to re-furb the calipers can replace the pads and the issue had gone away after that.
