So, not only was I suffering from "kinning me" fingers, the force 9 gale inside my helmet insured that my eyes were streaming, and my nose was running... Imagine 40 minutes of that....I was in a right old mess when I took my helmet off!!!

New gloves, and helmet TODAY.

Girly wusses, the lot of you.
Rode down from Hull to London last night.
By crikey, the bath at the end was incredibly welcome. Took me about half an hour to thaw out properly. Summer gloves are now confined to sunshine usage - really glad I had the gauntlets with me as well.

New leathers are quite well ventilated, which means my tucking in is getting better - 140 leptons is quite chilly...

Leathers, in weather.....Jesus, you must be 'ard!! I can't tuck in these days, due to the textile suit making me look about 45 stone.

Geek mode on, but tried a set of the Nike Pro underlayers yesterday. Huge thumbsup from me. Not only are they agreat base layer, but they also hold the gut in. Always useful

See above. Worked fine last night. If it gets any colder, the Berghaus thermal base layer is coming out, but I sweat in that at A road speeds, its that warm.

The Nike Pro stuff was around £30 for a long sleeve top, and shorts. Shop around, as its cheaper in the big shops (I got around 30% off, as it doesnt seem to be selling well) than in Nikeworld in Lunnon town. The Berghaus stuff was around £30 for the pants and around the same for the top, but it is mountaineering gear, so horribly expensive. Saves drycleaning the leathers or faffing around with the removable lining to wash though.
