Yamaha WR250F - was just over a year old..

If anyone know some really hard butchers that know the low life of the Northampton area I'll happily pay them for its return. The police are a waste of time.

The reg was KX55 HJJ.

That's harsh, hope you get it back although I'm afraid it will probably be in bits now Apparently enduros are really big targets, even more so than sports bikes

When will the polcie start taking stuff like this seriously?

Mate it was a joke. Phoned Northamptonshire police....

Took details of bike, est time of the theft, etc. All cool so far.

Then I said that there was no question that they moved my wheelie bins around to get at the bike - perhaps there might be some prints, etc that could be at least something to go on... No not interested in looking at all. So basically a £3K dirt bike loss is now a £3001 loss as the phone call was pointless.

Try TMX as well. The "community" takes theft of these bikes seriously. (Trials bike owner).

Sorry to hear this Phil.

Another place to report it is to Trail Bike Mag (TBM). They list stolen bikes in the back (and on their forum I think)

I take it you do have insurance as it is a road registered bike? at least you can claim for your loss.

Mate of mine had a KTM 250 EXC a couple of years back and the scum actually rammed his garage door in day light to nick the bike.

Bad news then.......surely 3rd party F&T would have been of minimal cost especially when you have a bike worth c.£3.5k....but a bit late now for the lecture, and a lesson learned for the future

Completely O/T - what's happening to the Irmscher V8 star you were pedalling around Combe in Oct? What are you going to race next year?

PS bad luck re the bike

Hey mate - not sure re: V8 Star, think the intention is to do more testing and get the thing dialled in more and maybe do the VLN series in Germany for 2007 with it.

However like always there are many irons in the fire for 2007 - ALMS, LMES, Le Mans even some talk with a touring car team again - as ever you got to think of the money, especially now I need to replace the dirt bike! still got a new K7 GSX-R coming which will help ease the pain!!

What class would it run in the VLN? It's a bit of a hybrid! 24h or 6h?

How are the police a waste of time!! I suppose they could look in the big all seeing crystal ball that they are given at cop college, you know the one that solves everything.
