..from a few years back ..How to pull wheelies...with Frosty ,Gary Mason & Shakey...
TLR vs 916 vs VTR Firestorm....the action starts around 5 mins into video...I`m a big fan of the old fastbikes videos and they probably were responsible for me finally taking the plunge and getting a road bike...good to see how well they have done in racing too...

Can't believe I've just sat here, watched all of that then looked at the clock and reslised it was on for half an hour yikes. I was transfixed!

There was some awesome riding on there- especially the bit on board with Shakey on the 916. Wouldn't think there'd be many paople alive able to keep up with that!!

Great video well worth a look.

Great video!Especially since i just got a TL1000r,even when Shakey was onboard it does the same as it does with me,goes like a bullet in a straight line, runs wide at corners! Here's me thinking it was something wrong with my bike too(or me)!rolleyes

There must be a way of setting the suspension up to sort that? I took one out for a test ride today and the chicken strips were only an inch wide afterwards (brand new tyre so definately my doin!) and it felt good.

A few people have told me you have to grab these bikes by the scruff of the neck to make them turn but i don't know how 'literally' to take this?It just feels like it doesn't want to turn in,its odd, like a car understeering. It's like the bikes saying no(i know bikes don't talk),screw you, you're going straight on!

Shit! I'm used to manhandling a heavy bike - my 7R is even heavier than the Tiller, but that sounds awful! The one I test rode today felt ok, but then the roads were damp and it had a brand spanking new tyre on it, so I was taking it easy. Have you tried dropping the forks through the yokes?

I've got the box set of those on VHS, wicked winter vids to remind you what you're missing

I don't agree with some of their methods but you can't knock their talents...

I used to live about ten minutes from the Le Castellet circuit, some of these roads were part of my evening ride. Seeing this vid again on a cold winter night, has left me longing to go back there!

Thanks for posting the link!

It was worse later in the video! Frosty lobbed it into a low wall whilst dragging his knee!

I think it was his peg was digging into the road all the time, you hear it at every corner. It's maybe dug in a little too deep and made the bike lose grip at the rear?

Once you get past all the self-righteous nonsense, the kind of stupidity displayed in that video is EXACTLY what sports bikes are made for biglaugh

Frosty had a great result in the NW200 supersport race this year too...busts his balls every time he`s in the saddle...

Perhaps it’s just me but I though the video was total crap. While their abilities on the track may be beyond question, these riders should never be allowed out on the road! In the space of a few days they had managed to smash up 3 bikes and put one of them in hospital and it was by pure luck that nothing worse happened and no other road users were involved.

I enjoy fast, spirited riding above and beyond what might be described as “strictly legal” but some of the antics displayed here are just plain stupid.

Now that is motorbike racing at its best bow

I see my namesake nearly came first there....but fluffed one corner on the last lap.
And was relegated to 2nd spot!

out of the two that vid was the most enjoyable Thanks F.M

Well of course the fast bikes videos are not above criticism..the cheap production budgets and lack of a proper storyline etc...and arguably the fast bikes videos came to the attention of the authorities who soon after started to crack down on foreign i.e British riders treating France like some sort of open race track...
However ...it was the proper testing of superbikes, on real roads ,using real, unbiased, talented riders who ride the way lots of the people out there really ride...without pandering to the manufactures for favour...was exactly the thing that propelled it to the top of the magazine sales...despite the recomendation that if you speed you will end up in a body bag..you might..then again ,you might not.....
N.B..Nobody ever got hurt seriously making these videos...the riders sustained far worse injuries on track day/racing incidents since the filming..an enviornment where safety is presumed to be greater...
One other absent member of the team..a young journalist, actually died on route back from France with a superbike in the back of the van in a road traffic accident.....just goes to show....
The accidents in the video were a) Gazza failing to stop in time and hitting Shakey...silly more than crazy...although the state of the wrecks suggest something more spectacular..
B) Frosty losing the front on a Firestorm trying to hang with Shakey on the Duke...a scenario lots of us face every ride on our potholed ,dusty, greasy excuse for tarmac...Most importantly for me...it sums up what`s exciting about riding bikes..

The old FB team were tame compared to Ghost rider......
