looks like your average run of the mill 125 mito (which to be fair are HUGELY chuckable and GREAT fun (when above 7k revs using all 6 gears)) read the numbers on the fairing
I know its only a 500cc but id have one without a doubt!

I think the target market will be those who enjoy the twisties, and don't want the license losing potential of a big superbike. A bit of a biking Elise- lightweight and fun without needing huge power.
I love riding big singles, and I love the looks of the Mito- win/win.
If that makes it to the market for 4 grand- there'll be one in my garage without a doubt. For ages I've been hoping somebody would make a Supermono racer for the roads so fingers crossed it makes it to production. Bet it'll sound awesome.
Anyone who's owned an RS250 Aprilia will agree that you don't need big BHP to equal big smiles!
Good on Cagiva for daring to be different.

Chris Walker won the race of the year last year on a 250cc .. .. .. ..
for those who arent aware the race of the year is a open race any size bike and any rider can enter, so you have 250 V's 1000's etc.
this 500cc mono will be a right laught and will show up most big bikes on the lanes, hell I used to show up many a 400-600 on my 125cc Mito! (although they where almost all driven by numptys who didnt have any bottle)

Yamah put a 660 single in a tzr125 frame and no bugger bought one, Target market-i`ll have to ask the wife
the SZR660 was a hoot from what i heard, you can get them for next to nothing now. Is the mito125 still in production? if would be ashame if the RS125 and Mito stopped being produced, both are propper sports bikes for younger riders

Oh the irony of that statement in respect to a bike that looks identical to a 748
