FAO Anyone who cares about riders rights
Discussion
I've copied this from the excellent Trail Bike Magazine, website forum. Please take a look, click on the link, caste your vote, and help protect responsible bikers rights to ride the unsurfaced roads in the IOM. It will only take a few seconds of your time.
Cheers.
Dear sirs,
Can you help us keep the Isle of Man's green lanes open? Trail riders in the IoM are coming under a lot of pressure from certain parties in the IoM government (Tynwald). The debate is currently very popular in the local newspapers who have just issued a poll on their web site for the general public to vote upon whether or not we should be banned from the hills. Believe it or not, these polls are often sighted in debate within Tynwald. So, we need as many people who care about trail riding as possible to go to www.iomonline.co.im and vote in the poll (its located in the centre of the web page). Please tell everyone you know who cares.
Cheers.

Ive done my bit... come on chaps and chapesses!
Its far too easy just to ban everyone from something when a minority cause problems than it is to tackle the problem head on..
Trail riding may not be your thing but its another liberty that you may miss once you no longer have the option to do it anymore...

you can also vote more than once
42% Yes - bikes should be banned, even if this does mean penalising responsible users, before irreparable damage is done.
58% No - the vast majority keep within the Green Lane User Group guidelines and it is wrong to to penalise them for the actions of an irresponsible minority.

Actually 56% 'no' votes means we are winning.
I knew I didn't make that clear enough: I was referring to the fact that the percentage of NO vs. YES votes was falling and that over the time that this thread has existed more people are voted YES than NO.
So
fingers crossed & I'll vote from work
EDIT: Oh & it's up to 57% now: well done turning the tide lads!
