They look nice, I'll keep an eye out for them.

I think the Frank Thomas gloves I got are going to get relegated to "spare" status as although they're quite good, they're not as good as the rest of my kit and are bugging me. I was looking at these Alpinestars so that gives me another option, ta.

I've lost count of the number of pairs of winter gloves I've had, so the best piece of advice I can give is to buy a pair that are at least a size too big for you.

What you lose in bar 'feel', is more than offset against the warmth you gain as the air around your fingers insulates them. That's why the 'lobster claw' style are so good.

Mate, I'm soooo glad you said that. I've just got a pair of those Alpine Star Goretex thingys and the fingers are ok, but they seem too big around the palm...Not too much, but they don't "fit like a glove". Have a choise to swap them over fr smalls, or suffer it......Hmmmm...... scratchchin

Yup - I've got a pair too It's really the fingers you want to be a bit baggy as they're the bits that take all the wind blast!

Bit of a bump, but....

Ended up getting these as the FT's I was using were leaking at the seams. To be honest I should take them back and demand my money back as they are advertised as "100% waterproof" and were not cheap.

i haven't fully tested the Alpinestars yet as the weather has been too good! But they are very comfy, especially with the Primaloft lining which is unnervingly pleasurable to stroke.... eek
