MotoGP veteran Jeremy McWilliams has sustained multiple injuries during a nasty fall from the Ilmor X3, while testing at Jerez on Thursday afternoon. McWilliams - who is hoping to secure a grand prix comeback next season with Mario Illien's new team - suffered fractures to his left femur and right collarbone plus 'serious injuries' to the fingers of his left hand. The 42-year-old Ulsterman was quickly taken to Jerez Hospital where he is expected to undergo surgery by Monday at the latest. Thursday marked the final day of MotoGP track action before the winter testing ban starts on December 1.

Interesting that Suzuki are now both about 1 second off the best pace and Ducati, nearly 2! I hope it's down to weather/quali tyres or the like on Dani's best lap, rather than the early signs of Dani's size giving him a distinct advantage.

shame...Anyone rememeber Jeremy`s heroic podium at donington a few years back on the aprillia 2 stroke...I was proud of him that day... Hopkins was saying recently that the bikes are more like pumped 250`s...corner speed is the key to a good lap...the throttle on his bike outta some corners was going from 0-100% in under a second...something not possible with the 990`s...should be a good season..

This weeks MCN reports that Jezza is going to be back on it in six weeks.
I was off work for five months when i broke my femur !
