Have put the bike to bed
Discussion
Now that the festive season is upon us I have put the bike to bed.
Wus! I hear you say. However the weather is not the driver behind the decision but more to do with the overall
intake during the next three weeks.
Nothing would p*ss me off more than to have a minor altercation on the way to work and get breatherlysed.
Poor start to the new year

Saw some bloke get done last night whilst waiting in the set down area at Wimbledon station. No sympathy if he had been drinking but harsh to be pulled whilst minding your own business.

Mine has been in bed since October, it won't be seen again on the road until 6am provides sunlight!!
Can't imagine why anyone would ride through the winter (apart from sole transport reasons); not for the wuss factor, but more for the degradation on the bike finish. Salt and road grime really eats into the fixtures.

Your bike's biggest worry is having you on it

I see the season of goodwill is with us

Bit harsh
My bikes been laid up now for a week as the battery for the remote went on the alarm...and now after all that faffing about getting a 27v battery the
ing bike battery wont hold a charge!!! It Seems it doesnt like going out when its cold
Get a Trials bike, wake up at 7:00Am on weekend mornings. Take the bike to wind-swept, rainy, hail-ridden, snowy and or muddy moors and spend two or three hours trying to keep your feet up. Road bikers??? Amateurs!!!!!
Even worse do it for your son and stand there in the same weather marking him and the other 50-100 or so riders. Mad Me?? yep absolutely barking!!!!!!!!!!

There's still the odd nice day through winter so will ride when the weather allows - obviously this isn't going to be as frequent as Spring / Summer but I live in hope! Didn't we hit 17 degrees on one day in Jan last year? Today is dry and not freezing cold, if I wasn't working / have three kids / lots of DIY jobs to do / paperwork / tidy up the house / load the dishwasher, I'd probably head out...
