On Crimbo eve afternoon I decided to ride 80miles to relations house instead of in a nice warm car. Bit risky as we were staying 2 nights and the weather could have done anything.
Anyway, on the motorway it got a bit misty and I could feel a drop in temperature. As I slowed to 55ish, my vision through the visor was getting worse so opened it a crack to help. B****r that was a cold wind. After 10 minutes or so I took an off into a service area to find my visor had a layer of ice over it, thats why I couldn't see through it.
I phoned family who were on same journey in a car to be told, Their side mirrors had ice on them and the temp gauge showed -4.
Can only guess that if ambient temp was -4, then given the wind chill factor, it was
-15ish.
The only real cold bit was one finger on right hand------and a cold nose!!!

Gawd, wish I could swap you!
I spent Chrimbo eve recovering my mota (with prezzies) from an Asda across town after the [something] packed in in between me parking and me coming back. I dunno what it is about christmas eve but the past few years it has been laying into me something rotten. This year was particularly galling as my bike got a puncture on the Friday night a mere inch n a bit away from the last one necessatating a new set of tyres and I found out late on the Saturday that the local bike shop had closed that day and would not open again until the 3rd.
So I now have to run around for the next couple of days with a Chrissy-patch on the rear tyre, crossing my fingers at 50mph and hoping to god that it lasts until next week when I cna spend money on it and meanwhile try to figure out WTF packed in on the car and hope to hell that whilst I'm PDS it's electrical, it's not all that expensive to replace.
Ice on the visor? Sounds like an amusing adventure?
/me buggers off and stops whinging about how pitiful his life is to all and sundry...
