Camping at Mugello
Discussion
I have been there a number of times but always stayed off site.
The noise will drive you insane , guys take in engines strapped to tables and then run them unsilenced for hours on end or untill they explode, there are people truly racing through the crowds 2 0r 3 0r 4 up , on scooters painted in yellow 46
A lot of the racers ship out of the circuit at night due to the noise form the campsite.
Its certainly a great event to go to , traffic is horrific , so we normally aim to be in the circuit well before 8am .
Ticket prices have more than doubled in the last 5 years , to try to restrict the crowds the organisors say , but still they come .

We went last year in a hired camper and it was awesome but a few things as already mentioned the noise from the locals with engines and mopeds is truly unbelievable the first night (Thursday) was funny but constant through to sunday became too much. We found some good amount of space but come friday night we were jammed in solid.
On a good note GO!! cos Mugello is the best track ever to watch motogp and to see the italians at there maddest when no.46 rolls out of the pit lane.
Stay in a camp site near the circuit if you want some sleep and a some decent facilities. (there is a good one about 2 miles from the circuit)
Have a good one whatever you decide you wont regret it

Its like I imagine the Coloseum was ,when the riders take the track for the race , partisan crowds everywhere , riders are treated like gladiators .
Its only this last year that poor little Loris had the support he deserved .
During qualifying , have a wonder to the pit straight grandstand , its free to enter , and to see a pack of bikes passing on their way to 200 is incredible.
One thing that will take you by surprise is the gradients , they arent just slight climbs , they are monster hills with adverse cambers at the bottom

Anyone done it ?
Want to make sure of facilities, or least some space before committing.

Take your own shovel, I'm sure there'll be plenty of space to dig a hole?
Oh, and I think that the Green lobby has persuaded the local council to ban the colour yellow at the circuit this year, as it's not very environmentally friendly
GO LORIS......
7.
went there a few years ago . unbelievable atmosphere !! stayed in a farmhouse in borgo san lorenzo 20 mins up the road . best parking a few miles away and walking !! saw coaches knocking off car mirrors to get past !! talked to a guy in stanstead airport on the way home he camped at the track ,no sleep all weekend and 6 hours to get out of the circuit !!!! you have been warned .. still i wouldnt miss the chance to go again. police let all bikes ,quads,mx and peds on the track after the race !
