Cigarettes thrown out of windows

I was saying that fags thrown out of windows can be dangerous and causes accidents in this thread. One poster thinks this isnt really an issue and he may well be right as I dont have a bike but my dad does and he hates the things being chucked out. I reckon this is as good a reason as any to ban smoking in cars as there are too many idiots who would do this. Please discuss

I don't see any difference in a driver lighting a cigarette, smoking it and talking to their passenger whilst driving and someone on a mobile phone. One is illegal the other isn't.

It's annoying but ban smoking in cars? Don't be stupid. When I smoke in my car I use the ashtray.

At last! I've been campaigning (whinging down the pub) about this for years, surely if you drop a lit fag on your lap while driving no amount of concentration is going to stop you hopping around like a man posessed, thus high probabliity of a crash! Should be illegal, but it is the only public place your filthy sods can have a fag I suppose.

Yes I've been lit by fag butts thrown out of cars, worse in the summer if you've got your leather half open and it slips inside your jacket!

I find a swift overtake and a one finger salute often gets one's point accross.

'Cos of the way my Boxster had two open vents at the front for the rad's, every fag but gets trapped in there along with leaves and so on. One of these days the leaves are going to ignite! Sometimes you feel in the Porsche people deliberately throw fags out or use their screen wash when the roof is down. Getting a bike in a couple of weeks and not looking forward to these muppets either!
