Called into my local KTM dealer today and noticed the prices of the Superduke seem to be getting near to what I can afford.

Anyone got one, what are they like.

My local mechanic has one and absolutely loves it!

Come to think of it, he did mention selling it - where are you based? He's nr Salisbury.

I'm in Durham.
Been offered one for £5200. Mint but black. I prefer the orange.
Cheap enough though.

Not sure what colour his is. Have a feeling it may be orange. Not sure how much he wants for it either. I can give you his number, but Durham seems a bit far to come!

Yes, thanks for the offer but I'll take a ride on this one first and see if I get on with it.

Was down my local KTM dealer a couple of weeks ago looking at the SuperDuke. It's very very small and almost evil looking. Spoke to a guy who has one who said it's an awesome bike BUT you really have to know what you are doing on it as it's so "in your face" that an inexperienced rider will come a croper on one. It's supposedly not good for back road relaxing hacks either as the power is supposedly too great!! His words!!!

Lovely looking though

test drove one at the bike show.

I thrashed the crap out of it, it was really easy to ride. I've ridden bikes for 3/4 years, and I consider myself a keen beginner/improver. I had a few tiny slides on dust and gravel patches with it leant over moderately, it gripped again immediately, without any drama, I think the suspension set up is very good. It has really adjustable feeling handling. I bought a Honda SP1 a couple of months before the show, before that I spent three years on a ZXR400. To use an aircraft anology the Superduke felt like an aerobatic plane, while my SP1 feels like a fighter. The Superduke was playfully fast, great fun, and comfy with it.

ps, one guy went thru a hedge behind me on a hornet (I think) during the test drive, hurt his thumb!
