ZXR750 engine conversion

Anyone done the above, or know someone that has?..............any major pitfalls / problems?

after having a very quick look in to it, it doesn't seem overly complicated to fit the early ZX9R engine into the ZXR750 L3 frame.

really want more power, but don't fancy a change of bike due to the looks and handling of the 750!

Any help appreciated.

One of the Bike mags did this some years ago, I remember reading about it as I had a ZX9R and my mate had the ZXR750 and I could see the logic behind the concept (750 better handling, 900 fast but lardy) but I can't remember which magazine it was; fast bikes, performance bikes?

IIRC it was fairly straightforward & the only real issues were with the Ramair system?
