information needed. Wondering if anyone knows of forums, or other areas I can get info and on these 2 very nice bikes.

Just would to give them both a test ride this summer and was thinking of getting soem information on them before I do go for a test ride.

Also your thoughts, if you own, have owned or was looking at getting one of them.

I am looking at these at the moment as the Sportsbike does not make me warm liek these to do when looking at them in the dealers

Person after my own heart. So If we all thought that way , We would Still have Rover and TVR being the main reason for buying British. Only kidding

I enjoy the look of both the triple and Duke but would like to get more infor on both

Just out of intrest what British bike do you own?

Personally I think the Triple looks so outrageous it has to be the ticket. That and as mentioned above, it's British: you can even get all flag wavingly patriotic whilst riding it!

Oh and fook twins, triples sound just sooooo different and personally I think they're as good as it gets, sound wise (ok, apart from V8's rolleyes ). Don't even need a loud can to sound good. And it's got about this much <________________________________________________________________________________________>

torque!

In saying that, the Yam is still damnably fast, it just needs liberal application of the right wrist to keep it above 9k, by which time it's moving really rather fast. Could sound rather good with a louder pipe... hehe

In all seriousness I'd have a speed triple if I could. The old one was great but the new one is simply sensational. The KTM will date quickly, no doubt about that. OK, hands up, I used to own two jap bikes before my ZX12 got pinched. Now I've just got the Honda Hornet 900. That would have been chopped straight in for a speed triple if the trip had a decent pillion seat. But it doesn't and it wouldn't look half as cool if it did. As a one and only bike for me, me, me? Sure, as said I'd love to but my one and only bike would be a race rep, not a naked, as I prefer track days to fast road riding.

I've got an 04 SE speed triple, keep looking at the KTM, but ultimately the S3 does everything I want it to, looks great, and it's British which has to be worth something these days.

Apparently there is a new Superduke coming out soon, and an SP version so the prices of the current model might take a tumble.
