No bike for me for a while
Discussion
Tuesday night I felt a bit hungry, so made myself a meal. After finishing it, I wasn't hungry but still had hunger pains. Odd. Woke up the next morning and felt the same. More odd. By lunchtime on Wednesday the pain had worsened and by 5.30 when I left work it was even worse. Rode home and in the 17 mile ride home it went from bad to the most horrific pain I've ever been in.
Got home, got changed and was rushed to hospital. It appears my appendix was on the verge of exploding. So had emergency surgery on Wednesday night and just returned home from hospital. Now have to lay in bed for 'as long as it takes' for the wound to heal but have been advised against riding the bike for a month. To be honest, though, the thought of crawling into my leathers right now isn't the most appealing thought ever. Bugger.

Similar reason for me getting back into bikes last August.
Hospitalised on the Friday night, appendics op at about 11pm. Then the bad bits, septicaemia(is that right), lung infection, peritonitis and suspected DVT. Drips plugged in, any amount of injections and catheter fitted. Not nice
A week in hospital and lots of time to think about life (and death). Came home and decided to sell the TVR and get back onto bikes ASAP.
Best decision I made for a long time
So don't panic yet Rawwr, things do get better, a month is about right. Not just for the stitches to heal, but also to feel comfortable bending over
How bigs ya gash?? Mines about 4" , or 100mm in new money

You mean you haven't had a poke and prod yet (could be another chat up line)
Don't know if you had a slight beer belly or not like i did, but this is an extreme way of getting rid of it. But it works.
I think that was one of the few months in my life when the thought of "bumping uglies" with the mrs didn't enter my head. But that soon gets better too!
