Traffic Cop let off

Anyone shed more light on the traffic policeman who was let off in court after being caught at 159mph, read it in the paper on Saturday and have trawled around for info but with no luck.

From what I read he was off duty but caught doing 159mph, but due to the fact he was a traffic police officer who had done advanced driving course etc he was let off without any legal action.........

Anyone know full details?
