I finally got my Alpinestars SMX jacket to go with the track pants I bought a few weeks back. I have to say the jacket fits perfectly and what a good bit of kit along with the jeans! All black but the Rx7 Edwards lid does stand out a bit.

I thought it best to wear them in a bit so went off for a 70 mile run in the gorgeous weather!!

So kit recommended!

BTW, are dark visors still illegal?

Lol, I think they're illegal. However, I was following a police car today wearing mine and he pulled over to the left to let me go by so at least around here they don't seem to be bothered. I always carry a clear one with me at all times just in case I get a keen one.

I might just do that - carry a clear one.

I had a traffic cop in front for a while - 4x4 then filtered past - he had plenty of opp to stop me.

Just that any sunglasses I put under the Arai lid fog up! Strangely the visor doesn't!

That's coz the visor will have an anti-fog coating you see.

Only if they don't transmit 50% of the light IIRC

Simple.. if a visor has a BSI Kite Mark its legal to use on the road in the UK
BS4110-79

If it doesn't have the kite mark you have your answer.. its illegal, however..

BTW The poxy dark visor law hasn't stopped me using one in the correct conditions for the last ten years without any hassle.

I was pulled over last year on the motorway when wearing a very dark visor.

He didn't even mention the Visor!

I think MCN has something about dark visors being legal this week.
