I want to sell my old race/trackday bike but they are so rair that I haven't a clue what to put it up for. It's a ZX7RR originally run in the 1997 by team green kawasaki BSB, it then went to a priviteer club racer and then to me where I converted it back with a modified road loom and charging circuit for endurance racing in the british championship from 1999-2002, then when the 750 class disappeared and everyone went up to 1 litre bikes I hung onto it as a trackday toy. Now it's been down the track a few times and is on it's 3rd engine so the engine number actually corresponds to a P6 ZX7R although it has the a fully flowed and ported top end (Ray Stringer) with factory cams (adjustable cogs) and titanium single piece valves that are better than the factory kits parts but cost a fortune (valves alone were £40ea and there's 16 !!! It has a custom built high level race exhaust that was developed and tuned for that bike and engine specifically (renegade were my old sponsors) oh yes and marvic magnesium wheels, It's actually rolled it's wheels about 3 times in the last 2 years now and I just can't justify hanging onto it any longer so it's make some room time. I haven't got and have never had a V5 as it's never been road registered and that frame was track only from day one, but when I spoke to DVLA a few years ago I was told it would be fairly straight forward to put it back on the road as the frame number clearly shows a year of manufacture and that an N reg plate could be issued. As far as overall condition is concerned it's fine, no crash damage, and it runs and performs just fine, I wouldn't quote any dyno figures as it's about 5 years since it went on one but the figures were "good" at the time. So how much should I put in the classifieds for????

As with most things, as much as someone is willing to pay for it.

I've no clue.. but MCN is the only place I know where race bikes are generally advertised for sale each week. How about looking through there for some ideas? Maybe on the website of one of the motorcycle clubs affiliated to the ACU? Beemsee or New Era?

I'd guess it's worth nothing. I'll take it off your hands to dispose of it if you want

Try somewhere like www.throttlemonkey.co.uk Tends to have quite a few racers on there. Perhaps they could help you.

Rhencullen often have ZX7R race bikes for sale IIRC.
