So, the R6 is no longer road legal, not insurance/taxed, etc, as its in the middle of being converted to a track toy.

Track bodywork is at home ready to be fitted, but wanted some other stuff doing to it, and at last have got around to getting it sorted:

- Braided lines
- Sintered pads
- 520 chain & sprockets (dropped a tooth on the front)
- K&N air filter
- Oil/filter change

Also looking at a power commander & getting it dyno'd to eek out every little bit available.

Should all be done in the next week.

When funds allow its then a rear shock (£750).

Can't wait for cadwell on 4th May to see the difference bounce

Just need to decide on a paint job then. Any thoughts ?

I know that a straight line is the fastest route, but I prefer to go around the corners than across a field hehe

Why spend all that money on a new shock? Someone like Maxton will use your old shock body, but use high spec internals matching them to your own specifications, weight, riding style etc.etc. It'll be a fraction of the price of a new Ohlins.

This is going to be a perfect tool, in the right hands of course.

Would suggest even lower gearing though, plus 2 on the rear.

Have a Ohlins with H&l speed damping on a 1999 R6 coming up for sale in 4 -6 weeks when I break my old track R6, don't know if it will fit yours but it was a worthwhile mod for me especially with a little tweak from Colin Leader at 100% suspension.

Have fun at Cadders.
