I'm thinking of going to the above on my ER-6n with a pillion and wondered if anyone has any advice or experience of riding to Assen?
As I'm in Lincolnshire I was thinking of going the Hull - Rotterdam route but its pretty expensive so was wondering if anyone had ridden up from Calais?
I'm quite fortunate that we won't be carrying much luggage as we are staying with my mates family in Holland so a few extra miles in the saddle shouldn't be too much of a hardship unless someone knows different.

I've done both. The over night ferry IMO is the better choice as you will have a good laugh and be more relaxed in the morning. (Hungover as well)
The ride down south is a right royal pain in the a^se, sure it's only an hour and a bit crossing from Dover, but it's a long slog back especially if it's raining.
John.

I've been busy with work so this is the first chance I've had to check back but thanks for all the replys and advice.

Hi,
I live in Louth, and am going to Assen with a group of about 15 others. See you on the ferry?
cheers
