Guys

I currently got a 2003 GSXR600 which I have owned from new. Been a great bike, haven't used it much over the past few years but getting more use now.

Today I have been offered a 2004 GSXR1000 for not much more cash than mine is worth.

Insurance isn't much more, only £20 with TPFT or £400 more FC.

In a massive dilema now of weather to swop the bikes over.

Will the GSXR1000 be to much bike for the UK roads? Will it be something to fear when opening the throttle?

Help!

Oh it's far too much bike for British roads - that's the beauty of litre bikes!! I would go for it, you'll never look back. Six-hundreds feel very gutless once you've been on a Gixxer Thou/Blade/R1.

I wouldn't say 'fear', but there'll probably quite a lot of 'awe'.

Damn, not the answers my wallet/mrs was hoping for, looks like I will have to take a closer look at the bike this evening.

Cheers guys.

If you can get a thou for similar money to your 600 do it. Torque will be a new and interesting thing for you to learn about

Looks like we've lost him; it's a tragedy and just another unnecessary biking fatality . . . laugh

hehe, still here. Didn't get to see the bike last night. So hopefully see it on tonight or Sunday.

Been phoning for insurance quotes today as my insurance is up on Sunday also. Its not making much difference insuring the bike TPFT.
