Rotary engines?

Has only Norton made rotary bike engines?
Just wondering why no other manufactures have used one... light weight, smooth power delivery & massive power. They used to do very well in bike racing until the ban..

they would make a great touring bike motor, look at the RX8 mazada engine 1.3cc 220BHP? hayabusa 1.3 = 170BHP.. Imagine a new Blackbird etc with a big rotary engine

also dkw ,van veen,and yamaha did a prototype in 1973/75
