Has anyone used an easylifter towbar mounted bike rack? If so I would be interested to know what they are like and if they are suitable for carrying a sportsbike. The one I am looking at is the hydraulic rack that lifts the bike off the ground (www.easylifter.co.uk). Any advice and comments would be much appreciated.

For that money you could get a 3-bike trailer which is surely a better option. No ?

Those type of things are normally for dirt bikes aren't they ?

Not an easylifter but I had a Bike towbar carrier that I used to carry a Motocrosser on, worked OK but makes the car very front-end-light which screws up the handling & braking etc, considering that a motocrosser weighs considerably less than a sportsbike I would imagine that it would probably make your car dangerous, so unless it's going on some big heavy truck I'd get a trailer or a van.

I use a Dave Cooper rack and carry a 70Kg Gas Gas. It does make the front end lighter but not outside normal limits. Looking at the ones on that site I wouldn't use one of those on anything but largish 4x4's
