I've got one on order, and still waiting for it to arrive. Anyone else know of delivery date? My dealer still hasn't heard, although he said he thought last week...

I was slightly put off the 600/750 models in my local dealer due to the hundred or so bubbles under each decal.

Ta-daa it's arrived. Apparently the (standard) yoshi exhaust system arrives a few days afterwards so I should be able to pick it up in a week or so.

Triffic. Going out to check it out tomorrow morning. Can't wait to see what it looks like. Hopefully it'll be ok!

The "ordinary" one I test rode felt a bit quicker than the 1000 'blade but crucially seemed a bit more edgy, if you know what I mean. I've never owned a bike with anything other than the standard exhaust because I hate to make unnecessary noise so this yoshi setup might be an eye opener.

It seems ironic really that it's the tree huggers and their relentless attacks on pointless stuff like CO2 have peed me off and instead of getting a nice quiet bike that probably makes little in the way of CO2 I've deliberately (I said DELIBERATELY) gone and bought into the noise/pollution brigade with my middle finger up.

Now all I need is the money for a Cayenne Turbo S to go with the bike and the GT2 and I'll be all set.

Picking it up tomorrow.

So I'm wondering -- having never felt the need to monkey around with a bike from standard, what difference this IOM yoshimura exhaust is going to make to the power. I guess it'll make an infernal racket that'll annoy all and sundry which is genuinely a PITA, but will it make any more power? Where will it make it?

It'll go on the dyno soon enough, but I'd be interested in reading what anyone else has found...

From what i've been reading elsewhere, the thing you'll notice the most is a weight loss of around 10kgs. That and a few BHP more can't be bad.

I've got an official Suzuki/Yoshi system on my GSXR750 K7. Sounds and looks the nuts! Not massively loud though - unlike the full Akrapovich system I had on the last 750, which was insanely loud!

There was definitely a marked change in the induction noise when it was fitted too. Wasn't sure about performance increases, as I was still running in at the time....

Well I picked up mine and rode it about 10 miles to the indoors in time for the rain to start. lol. Sort of running in so no real knowledge of performance as yet -- though the dealer set the daft power thing to C for me since the tyres were new. Bless. I set that straight back to A when his back was turned...

Doesn't seem very loud at all, though why an exhaust could change the induction noise I can't fathom.

Beautiful looking thing though, really pleased with it. Can't wait for a bit of sun now...

Due to better airflow through the engine maybe......

Never had a Yoshi, but had a few other makes (all cheapies) and all were insanely loud - it seemed to me, the cheaper the can, the noisier it was. My R1 has an Akra ti system on it and it's quite quiet unless you're ragging its nuts off. I'm pretty sure it's not road legal as I can see no baffles in it!

Well here's the picture. It's a fantastic looking bike but that's about all I can say a couple of days into ownership. It's pouring rain in sheets out here in Beccles!

Nice looking bike, like the exhausts. You live in Beccles? I'm over in Dereham, we'll have to ride sometime... Still raining here this morning frown

Well I have got it in the house smile Not mine though, just a rental I'm sprucing up between tenants. I live near Attleborough so even nearer -- drop me a private and we'll get out for a ride...

I hate to piss on your parade, but that doesn't look like a complete system - just a big end pipe.....

You're quite right -- I thought it was going to be a system (as did the dealer) but when it showed up, just a couple of cans. It's a bit of cheek actually, because I'm sure their blurb said "system".

Never mind, I might chop out the other bit in due course. Still a bit of weight saved and those heavy old standard cans have to be the ugliest exhausts man has ever come up with!
