Good morning,

Not sure what the pistonhead opinion is on scooters is but here goes!

Been thinking of some sort of sports car but money is a bit tight so I thought of getting a sports bike, Big mistake, I might as well had an affair and filed for divorce!

But then her indoors says she has a soft spot for 'italian style scooter'! now theres an idea maybe a Vespa, a little girly maybe! or a Lambretta, kinda cool but maybe a bit old.

Then I saw the Aprillia Habbana Custom! not a bad little machine, 125 it is then...

...Or is it, is this the same 125 in the Aprillia RS and if so would a 250 from an RS fit in the Habbana?

Not quite an Alfa Spider or an Ducatti Tricolore but may have to do for now!

Cheers

Not a snowball's chance in hell... RS uses a v-twin two stroke coupled to a real gearbox... Habana uses a 4 stroke single coupled to those silly CVY things...

Grow some bollox, If you want a bike, get a bike. Get her some kit and put her on the pillion...she'll love it.

I quite like the idea of a mentalist scooter now! looks totally normal but scares children and old ladies

Why not get a Gilera 180cc great fun. Or you can get a custom one done. Some compaines have been dropping the piagio 180cc 2-stroke engine into Vespa style scooters. Plenty of tunning options as well.

The 250cc Vespa is nippy enough, especially around town. Why not start off wth one, and see how it goes from there?
