Just been to California on holiday and called into a couple of bike shops.
Triumph 675 $8999 thats £4712 at the exchange rate I got when changing my money.
Or what about a GSXR1000 at $11399 ( £5968 )
Rip off Britain or what !

Tell me about it!! My father in law paid £50+k for a Audi RS4!! I was looking on Ebay USA and the very same car brand new from a dealer?......$60,000!!!

Yup, I know, I go over there a couple of times a year, and going again next week, it's depressing, even when the exhange rates weren't as favourable as they are today.

The latter.

The strong pound is great if you're buying abroad but not quite so good if you're selling...

I moved over to Auckland, New Zealand, last November and bought a brand new KTM 950 SM (with twin Akrapovic cans, handguards, sliders chucked in!) for less than I sold my 2 year old identical one for in London before I left. Good old exchange rate...
