What makes a good fitting glove, been looking at a few and small seems a better fit but a bit tight around the wrist but medium feels a bit to loose, been looking at the Dainese FAST-B D-Dry's in particular and seems a good quality glove.

Try to remember that its best to put your gloves under your sleeves in the rain. I found that out yesterday.

A good fitting glove is one that:

- won't come off when you slide down the tarmac. (Put it on, do up the straps, stick it under the opposite armpit, lock your arm and pull like hell. If it comes off, its no good.)

- does not "pinch" on the fingers or wrist. Any glove that pinches will affect blood circulation and you can end up with numb fingers or hands (quite apart from the "whitefinger" that you get on some bikes anyway!)

- gives you the best feel of the controls for the style of glove involved. Obviously wet weather / cold weather gloves are thicker and don't give the feel of summer gloves.

- fits the rest of your riding kit. I'm not talking "style"/ colour, but works with the cuffs of your jacket etc. Short jacket = long gloves etc. Never just try gloves on in the showroom, sit on your bike in the rest of your kit and see how they feel / work.

For me, its Spidi every time. "H2 out" for wet / cold weather, "Penta" for regular riding and "3composite" for all-out hooning.

(Don't even get me started on what makes a good helmet!!)
