You were right
I know its hard to say without somewhat hurting peoples feelings, but everyone was the same at some stage (and probably ain't that much better now).
Basically, what was said was that on the pictures it looks like you are still too stiff & need to relax a lot more. This only comes with time though as on the first outing on track you have so many things to concentrate on that you can't cope with other things.
I really think it would be worth your while booking just a track day, not a training day, and then doing another & another (all at the same track). You then get to know the track inside out & therefore this is one thing less to worry about, leaving you with the issue of improving your riding style/smoothness, etc.
You got to relax loads, hunker down & move your weight around.
Well..
All I said was, IMO he looked a bit stiff on the bike and that I knew he had a great time but to take it a step at a time.
The reason that I deleted the post was, that I'm not out to p155 on anyone's fire.
I can remember how I felt the first time I got my sorry Arse on a track and feeling the way Chilli described.
Absolutely No offence intended.
John.

I sometimes doing further training is brilliant, but track is so different to the road & therefore you've got to be confident with the basics of track before starting having to worry about taking in/carrying out what instructors are telling you.
Basically, do things at your own pace, not in 5 no. instructed 20 minute sessions.

What's this? Posts being deleted to protect my feelings??!! Appreciate it, but I wouldn't bother!!!
Mark, all advice more than welcome. I understand, and agree with your comments. Just imagine, I thought I was very relaxed...much more than usual, and yet the pics show a different story. I'll deffo try and get a track day in before Snetterton.
Thanks again.
I suspect you were loads more relaxed, however, you still had probably 100 things running through your head. I am doing this right, how much more can I lean, do I brake here or here, etc, etc.
You've got to do it one step at a time. On each occasion you'll learn something new or improve on how you did it last time.
Still f@cking brilliant though isn't it

Very true!
Mate, I've thought of nothing else since! Just can't wait to get back out there. Brands is only up the road from me,and I hear they do evening meets. Might try one of those..they seem to be a lot cheaper as well!
