Hi all,

I'm thinking of getting myself on a bike- I always wanted to, but hit 17 and got boring with the 4 wheels. I live in central London now and want one to commute on.

I haven't been on a bike since 4 years ago, and that was only messing around in car parks and havent even done a CBT.

I'd like to do the CBT in the next month and do the DAS after that.
I'm thinking of getting a small bike- a CBR 125R maybe- and riding for a few years till I'm confident with a big un.

How does my plan sound? Is everything in the right order? Or should I get a restricted 125 then take the test later. Or should I just do the DAS quickly, and go for an old CBR 600, or something bigger than a 125 which isn't too powerful or tricky to commute on? Or should I just get a meaty scooter to commute on?

I've driven on the road for 5 years, but obviously that was on 4 wheels...

Does anyone have any advice? As my bike riding friends are all up north, any help appreciated!

Cheers,

Ben

As your 17 do your cbt and then do your restricted 33bhp test.Do it this year before they make it harder next year.

Thanks fo rthe reply- had a look through that, but I think I'm just asking a question which can only be answered by me.

I think I'll just do the DAS straight away, and I'll see if I want get a bigger bike after that as opposed a 125...
