TL1000r two's up suspension problem?
Discussion
Was out the other day scaring the missus on the bike and when i got home looked at my shiney new rear hugger, scratched to hell at both sides? The standard undertray, well i think it was that had been coming right down and putting deep scratches in the hugger? She's only about 9 and a half, ten stone or something. Is this normal or do i need to firm the suspension up a touch?

Hi rumpelstiltskin, the extra weight over the back of the bike (pillion) would cause the suspension to compress more. To save a lot of confusion try turning everything up five clicks at a time and see how you go from there.(you should have a hand book to check where the adjusters are.
Or.. leave the wife at home

lol,i don't find any handling problem to start with them at all!I've had a Busa,Zx12r,r1,SP1 and i've had this TL longer than any of them,i think the TL handles ok,you just have to be a bit more forceful that's all,i think it's one of those bikes that would just spit you off and then say,"ok,whose next?"They've a lot of eh?Oh yeah, character i think they call it.
To be fair, I really liked mine as a practical road bike, but on track, or when really pressing on on the road, I found that the front always wanted to run wide, it never felt particular confidence inspiring at the front end. I only owned mine for 4 months before taking it back and buying an R1 instead.
Bags of character though, and I do miss the flames that my race cans popped whenever I backed off the throttle
