Benelli Tornado Tre Novecento
Discussion
Righty ho, given I have an enforced bikeless fortnight, the fingers have started wandering around things I might want on the other side of that.
And they are bad bad fingers. They seem to have found a Benelli to play with, which is nice in a way, as its very pretty.
Went to look at one this morning, and the nice chap(Miles Kingsport, Hull) let me perch, and dragged it out into the sunshine to fire it up. Not quite as crack of doom as the Mille with the Akro, but distinctive, nonetheless. Seems to be more committed a riding position than the Mille, but oddly quite light on the wrists. I had the kids with me, so a test ride would have been difficult, but can sort that next weekend.
Over to you chaps - horror stories of late parts delivery, Italian electrics, the way it breaks down at the first hint of rain just as welcome as the messianic rides across the B Roads of Europe, please.

Looks pretty sweet, although I'd take the MV lurking behind it! I hope Benelli parts delivery is better than MVs though; my dealer has just waited 4 weeks to get an e-mail reply from MV about a part number for a voltage regulator - shocking (pun intended!!).
Agreed! It is a sexy looking bike....but the MV....oh yes!!!
quick update:
yuck...
gorgeous bike, incredibly pretty, very nice noise, but....
absolutely no lock in terms of turning the bars, maybe 15 degrees either way. Not great for filtering.
Odd riding position, didnt feel like my knees were "locking" into the tank, even when hanging off (at very low speeds, after checking to see no-one was looking
)
Heavy on the wrists (yes, I know, but it was a lot worse than the Mille)
very low screen, slammed wind into my chest while upright, and straight into the visor when hunched.
and most terrible of all, felt like a 600 under 8000rpm, not a huge amount of torque, and was up and down the gearbox.
However - after 8000 it was a ridiculous missile. Saw double leptonage on the dual carriageway. Like I said to the nice salesman, if it was only a weekend toy, I would have..
