D.A.S bike test
Discussion
I'm thinking of doing my d.a.s bike test. The last time i rode a bike was in the early 90's before i passed my driving test.
Is the test hard compared to the driving test? also are there any hints/tips anyone can give? i was told by somone at work to keep checking over your shoulder before you turn, somthing called the lifesaver?
I don't have any desire to get a massive fast bike , i'd just like to do it before it gets harder next year.

I think the bike test is easier to actually take for specific maneuvers the instructor requires (no reversing around corners/parking etc ) although it requires much more awareness of road conditions/other motorists etc once you've leant all the basics on your CBT and perfected them on your DAS (lifesavers etc) the test is basically a run showing you can ride safely and with confidence.

Do it quick then as they are making the test harder for 2008.A life saver is where you look over your shoulder before moving out into another lane etc,so you should go mirror, single, life saver then manouver.Good luck if you do go for it.Is the test hard compared to the driving test? also are there any hints/tips anyone can give? i was told by somone at work to keep checking over your shoulder before you turn, somthing called the lifesaver?

A lifesaver is when you're turning right, mirrors check your shoulder, indicate, position and then before you turn you take a "lifesaver" look over your shoulder.

Moving into another lane is mirrors, check your shoulder, indicate, Maneuver.

Can someone clear up the process of how you do this for when you change into a right hand lane as despite above i know its not just for turning right. Its to long since i did my test to remember.A lifesaver is when you're turning right, mirrors check your shoulder, indicate, position and then before you turn you take a "lifesaver" look over your shoulder.
