engine paint

when I bought my Fazer it was is good nick. still is apart for a scuff or 3

ben using the bike mostly every day since I got it back in Nov last year. always clean it every week or more and scottoil it, wd40, wax eyc..

only question is I've noticed the paint on a bit on the engine is flaky paint. but the bolts where loads of crap gets. Is this normal? for a bike. its a 03 reg but 01 fazer. whats best to use. I have the high temp black paint for the headers. will that do or do I need something else to cover it up

I had to repaint a bit of the engine (after a drop) and found that engine paint can often be matt finish, thus looked crap. I foudn the engine enamal paint was the right gloss finish (well more like a silk finish if it were normal paint for your walls)

As for gettign crap near bolts, on the 3 bikes I've had they seem to be the points that attract the crap
