Can anyone help identify these bikes??

This was my Grandad's police bike. Its a Triumph but thats all we know.

This is his personal bike. I think these pictures were taken in the 50's on a holiday to the coast.

I've tried tracing the bike using the registration details, but haven't had any luck so far.

Cheers guys!!

The Triumph is a T100 "Bath Tub" 500 twin I think
the other one I'm not sure - need a side view

Yup, Police bike is period standard Trumpet Speed Twin.

His personal bike looks to be a ex-WD BSA M20 500cc single. Very popular in the fifties as they were cheap being ex-war surplus. Used to have one myself 10 years ago.

Plenty of both about.....

Police used 500cc Speed Twins as well as T100's.

Here's both an early and a later 500 Speed Twin in the right colour's as well...wink

That Trumpet in your photo does look odd though with the RGS style RGS siameased exhaust system instead of the usual seperate civilian style...??

BSA WDM20's are about as well, this was mine.
