California Superbike School, the art of cornering.
Discussion
I did level 1 at Rockingham yesterday, cannot recommend it highly enough, 5 track sessions pre/post classroom sessions, it is amazing what a huge difference some fairly minor adjustments to your cornering technique can make.
Have already booked for level 2, best days motorcycling I've had in 25 years!

Told ya, told ya...fantastic isn't it. Never has so much fun on a bike. Great stuff...
If you want to do something even more fun Chilli.....go and do an offroad weekend from BMWWorld. It's fantastic - spent last weekend in the Brecon Beacons doing it and it's SOOO much more fun than the CSS you wouldn't believe.

I had a Xchallenge which is their new supermoto type bike. Fantastic!
I can't endorse this enough - from start to finish it was well run and great fun. (To be honest it shames the CSS in terms of organisation and level of actual instruction)
Do it, you'll thank me!!

I did this last year - best fun I have ever had on a bike, they only had the 1200's and the 650 dakars last year, none of the new bikes - I spent the first day on the 650, and some fella got fed up picking it up all day - so swapped with me and I got the 1200 on the second day. It makes me smile just thinking about it.I had a Xchallenge which is their new supermoto type bike. Fantastic!

Another thing - it taught so many skills for the road. I am convinced it was these skills that taught me to keep the bike up when numpty hit me a couple of weeks back. Also the riding and being forced to lock the front wheel up on gravel does wonders for your confidence when it happens and you least expect it on the road!
Tried chasing Simon Pavey when it was my turn at the front, and stacked it at about 50 mph - got up and got on with it - was superb!

Simon Pavey is an all round hero. ISTR he also coached Boorman & Magregor for their long way round trip.
I'm definitely going to do this in July. Anybody else fancy it?
Have you spoken to them yet? I've got a feeling they might be booked up all year. It's immensely popular and people come from all over to do it (there were two guys from Holland and a couple from Scotland there last weekend that had flown in for it!).I'm definitely going to do this in July. Anybody else fancy it?

Mmmm maybe I should read TOTW2 but can someone explain in simple terms what they learnt on the CSS day?
Everyone raves about it but I can't find any other information other than on the website. Is it the quality of the training that identifies where an individual is going wrong / can improve on?
I'm not sure they'd let me on track with my 64k mile jellymould CBR6 with oil leak and my 2 piece leathers don't zip together either

Leathers that zip together is a must, and oil on the track might be an issue!!!Everyone raves about it but I can't find any other information other than on the website. Is it the quality of the training that identifies where an individual is going wrong / can improve on?

Basically, they teach you how to corner properly by being smooth and in complete control of th bike....well, that's the idea anyway. I totally recommend it. It's a bit pricey, but worth doing.

Yes that was him, he's also finished the Dakar three times which is the mark of a true nutter! If you do the course, chop in the sports bikes and head to north Africa to try out the new skills... You wont regret it!!!
