Ah, i'm only 25, and the bike isn't garaged - they probably add to the cost a bit!

£293 Fully Comp with £500 excess on K5 Gixer 1000. All mods declared. Express Insurance. Give them a call. smile

Having said that, isn't Suzuki about to do a years insurance for £99 on all new K7 750's? Might be worth asking...

Cheers
Matt

I also heard this, but a check on their website suggests its only on the 600.

Kwackers are doing a good deal at the mo....Free Akrapovic cans and 9% IIRC.

Could be tempted to go for the 750 if the insurance, 0% and a few goodies were thrown in!!

Someone explain insurance to me, please.
Was mid600's for the 52 plate RSVR, now sniffing around an 04 Blade at 6K.
Additional premium (and the poor girl apologised for it) £165.

Not as weird as mine. £750. Then 6 mnths later put in a claim for £3.5k. Renewal time, and it goes down by £100!!

Give H&R a call. My renewal for my blade was £209 fully comp with commuting, unlimited miles and an aftermarket (but legal) can.

You lot are a bunch of gits. Looking at doing my test shortly, thought i'd have a look at different quotes for different bikes to get an idea. All over £1000 TPFT. Wish i was 25, i'd be down that Suzuki garage and taking a GSXR600 there and then!

No sot, I was paying alot less for my car insurance with 12 years NCB, clean licence etc, took a long time to get there. now i am almost startign again. Ok it not over a £1000 fully comp but not as cheap as I used to pay. on the plus side tax is loads cheaper, I get more MPG and its working out great

Take heart mate, my first sports bike (ZX7R) cost me over a grand TPFT, and last year I paid £650 TPFT on my TL1000R - it's only this year i've managed to sort out Fully Comp cover - for the first three months of R1 ownership I was TPFT, and the bike cost over £4k!!

I'm not overly concerned, i knew insurance would be a killer to begin with, i've just had to budget for at least £1k for it. It can only get better (unless i chuck it down the road of course)

Out of interest, whats the TL1000R like to ride?
