Ive had ultraseal in my bike tyres for a couple of years and iam unaware if it has prevented any punctures during that time, but it certainly didnt prevent the relativley smallish puncture i incurred recentley in my rear tyre frown.
Ive also heard of other instances of ultraseal failing to do its job on bike tyres, and iam now wondering whether its worth bothering to install it in my new rear tyre.
Your expieriences please.

I test rode a CBR1000RR once and when braking good and hard from -ahem-mph it went into a right flap at the front like the wheel was seriously out of balance. After a few moments it cleared and was ok again.

I reported this to the dealer and he reckoned it might have been that untraseal. I'd never put any in, I think a hard application of front brake shoves the liquid to one place and you get serious patter...

It's not like you get punctures much anyhow, or at least I don't.

Whilst I've had more than my fair share of punctures riding round london for the last 7 and a bit years I'd never put any of that stuff in my tyres, I think I'd prefer to know when I have a puncture personally.

Me too. The thing that would concern me would be that I didn't know I'd got a puncture but the structure of the tyre might be compromised in some way and that it could let go in a big way later on.

Well, its only a personal opinion, but "horrid, horrid, horrid stuff" about covers it.

You're not the first person I've heard of who found it didn't work. You need to "change" it each time you replace the tyre, and apparently some tyre places won't change your tyres if they're ultrasealed. (I don't use it so I have no personal experience of this, but its what I've heard.)

Personally I use Smarttire and think is great - it doesn't prevent punctures (in your case ultraseal didn't either), but it does let you know what's happening, is a "fit and forget" item in that it doesn't need changing with each tyre and gives you real-time tyre pressure and temperature info:

I put some in my R1200GS tyres before an epic alpine adventure last year. I have no idea of it stopped anything, but it definitely did not stop an utter failure on the peripherique that seemed to have been caused by a nail or a screw.

Possibly it let me go a few hindred metres frher than otherwise woudl have been the cas, but that was ,frankly, worthless.

Would you put run flat tyres on a performance tyre ?

If you ride a sluggish commuter with no expectations of handling , then ultraseal etc may be for you .

I wouldnt advise the goo for anything other than a kids go kart
