Anyone fancy a free cup of tea, and possibly a bacon butty on the 20th? TWO are running some sort of humorous face-off between Blade and R1 owners, and I seem to have roped myself into it.

Anyone fancies turning up to Box Hill for around 10 on Sat 20th, shout up, as I'm still slightly deaf from the run oop North today.

Oh, and Chilli, feel free to pop over, see what Big Boys Toys look like tongue out

As it is a mere stone throw from me I may bring the Firebucket along for some comparison work. Are GSXR1000 owners welcome too?

Not a roadtest, as not even TWO are daft enough to let me near shiny bikes biggrin I think its a silly about owners, but hey, its free tea. Let me know if you are coming on a Blade or R1, if you want to take part and I'll mail the journo type.

Box Hill is near Leatherhead in Surrey (J9, M25). There's a cafe there, Rykas, that is a nice meety type place. Reasonable tea, v v dodgy burgers hehe

And of course gixxers are welcome - how else are you meant to learn? tongue out

Marcus,

Sounds like fun. I'll check the diary and be in touch.

Cheers.

Marcus,
The 20th is a Friday!
If it is on the Friday, I can take the day off, but will have to depart mid afternoon....Going Camping you see!!!

ps - For the above reson, if it's on the Saturday... I can't make it!!

paperbag 20th, 21st - they're so very close together it doesnt really matter if it is actually the Saturday. Duh!

Nick, have a lovely time under canvas. Question is, how will you display the L-Plates on your shiny new minimoto under all the panniers? hehe

biggrin

In summary , its home to some of the worst , and heaviest policed roads around.

Shares the reputation of having possibly the worst food available of anywhere you can imagine , at truly unrealistic prices .

You will also see the largest gathering on earth , of chicken strips ( more like fillets actually ) where owners proudly and unashamedly shine the unused 1/3 of their tyres
