As the title suggests what should i buy? Very tempted by the new GSXR. What is it like to live with? Or would i be better off with one of the others. Any advice would be much appreciated. Any suggestions on decent insurance prices would be handy as well. Just had a quote for a grand which i think is a bit steep.

Personally i'm a fan of the K6 Gixxer 1000.. K7 is a bit gimmicky for me and i hear its lost a little bottom end stomp in the search for top end hp.

As you'll guess from another thread im a fan of the 04/05 zx-10.

But i do hear the 07 R1 is a real stormer..

Blade is probably ace but i'm just not a honda fan.. (for no logical reason biggrin )

oh and if you have the money a nice MV Augusta F4 1000 is a very tidy bike!! I hear there are some good deals about on low mileage ones.

Personally own a GSXR1000K7. Think its a stunning bit of kit! Although i have nothing bike wise to compare it to! It certainly has a big hit at the top end!! As for the power controller thing? must say i do use it occasionally (In the wet,and when i first got it, to get used to the power etc!) Seems very stable and confidence inspiring! All the above just my thoughts so far, and as i say i haven't riden any of the others!!! Although i was tempted by the Ducati!!

2005 Blade owned for 2 years and covered 12000 miles of touring, rideouts and trackdays and hasnt missed a beat. Cheap to service. Unbelievable road manners over any surface cranked over. It really caresses any rider at any skill level. It rewards good riding like no other bike I have ridden (inc. most 06 and 07 litre bikes) and gives you great confidence. Solid front end in all bends at all speeds.

Moreover, ultimate build quality.

All new blade in 2008, should be cracking!

Oh yes, running 06 gearing on an 05 blade helps get over the bland media portrayal.

I'm 300 miles into a K7 IOM with the yoshi pipes. Traded a 2004 blade and I love it. Very very fast, super stable, nice to look at, yet seems to have a bit of the GSX-R bad boy ness that the blade lacked.

After the first service I'll get the first trackday and see how it fares there. But so far, it's sensational. Never had an R1 or ZX10 to compare it with though.

Can't comment on any of the other 07 bikes but I can tell you the R1 is great but the throttle response is a little jerky.

Oher than that it is all good. Done 3000 miles in the first 2 months despite the rain.

Off to Germany next weekend for a blat about and to do a Motorrad course at the Ring. Will post up some videos when I get back.

Might not be your type of thing, but im really looking forward to riding the B-King. Im going to take on for a test ride as soon as i can with the possibility of just splashing out on one as an "every day" bike.

Looks awsome and with that engine it should be an f*****g animal.

I did think about something different like the superduke, but i could see myself regretting not getting the gixer.I just think it is one of the best sportsbikes out there at the moment.
