Ok, so the fairing has been replaced. Indicator was a b!tch to get back on, and the neighbours learnt a few new words, but tis now done.
Now the can. I've had a look and there's cables and all sorts holding it on. If I remove all the nuts, bolts and cables, should the pipe come straight out or are there sealants etc involved??!!

Many thanks.

Never changed a can on the new R6, Hobo might be able too help. There will be a thick gasket in the down pipe that the can slides into, try not too damage that when you fit the new can.

Hi Chilli, I've changed the can on mine - I swapped it to a Remus. Makes sod all difference, just looks better.

Are you changing it because you had an incident or because you just fancy a different one?

The cables you can see are for the ExUp value. Depending on what you are doing these either get removed or re-used for the standard can. Let me know and I can send you instructions for both.

I also have a spare standard can if you're interested.

Cheers

Cheers gents,
I'm changing the can as (I practically got it free with a fairing) the old one looks like it's been run over! I think it must be where I'm leaning over too far, and it keeps hitting the tarmac. Never mind!
I'll get the dealer to do it today.

Thanks for the help.

I have indeed changed mine. Took about an hour (and I'm a complete pleb).

As others have said, there is some wiring, however, just tie this together & put them out of the way.
