So, comparison...GSXR750 vs R6....!!
Discussion
The Gixer is TINY! My knees are up to me shoulders! Also, it has to be at least 2 inches lower. Might not say it in the specs, but it bloody well is. Both feet planted on the ground, and my knees are still not straight. Can't comment on the power/speed as its gotta stay below 6k revs for a while. However, it appears to be very agile, more so than the R6. Sounds better as well, with the standard can.
Love it. Apart from being a bit cramped, I love it. Might see if I can get some different pegs that I can adjust.
Cheers.
ps - Filled it up too....no horrors!!

But Chilli, surely you knew all this from your test ride!!!!!!! After all, no one would spend that sort of money on a bike having not tried it first, would they????Love it. Apart from being a bit cramped, I love it. Might see if I can get some different pegs that I can adjust.
May you have many happy (incident free) miles together.
Ride safe and enjoy.

Many thanks!
Hi Chili, my GSXR 1000 is very low compared to the R6 - very different riding positions. I'm 6ft 2" so the R6 might actually suit me better?
As an addition, my GSXR 750 mate and I changed over bikes last weekend - after the ride we both decided the flickability of the 750 is fantastic but the power of the thousand is a noticeable difference. It's strange because I've always been a fan of light weight, used to own an Elise for that very reason... I really like the way the 750 handles but I just don't think I could live without the hardcore acceleration of the thou! The 750 didn't feel slow as such just more of a smooth delivery whereas the thousand feels like it's very loose (if that's makes sense)! Also, I appear to have adapted to the extra weight, my thou still feels very planted although slower to turn in than the 750.
Am I a thou man through and through????!!
Edit to say wheres the pics Chili, get out there with the camera - take some arty night shots!

The R6 would suit you much better than the Gixer, it really does feel that small. It flies about all over the place, and feels a lot tighter than the R6. There is def a lot more weight on the wrist on the gixer...lucky I've built them up over the years

I think the Gixer is about 2 or 3 kgs heavier, so that's not gonna be noticeable, but it really does feel more agile than the R6. Probably just me, but it's gonna be a hoon on the track!
Cheers.
