thinking of buying the little one a mini moto and am going to see one that has had new plugs, etc but the owner says after it fires up sometime stops and he thinks the carb jets are blocked. Is this easy to solve?? Also is there anything that I should really keep an eye out for. the carb jet issue worries me in case it could be another serious problem.

any help welcome

I really wouldn't bother mate. They are nothing but trouble. Its an easy job but probably isn't that and is just that they are crap and poorly made.

TBH I wouldnt bother, you may as well buy a new one and even at that don't expect it to last more than a few weeks. I bought one from EBay last year for £100 (inc delivery), it was fun while it lasted.

Oh and by the way, a blocked carb is usualy easily fixed, sometimes as easy as tapping the carb with a screwdriver.

I've had one, and nearly all of my mates have had one. Seems like a great idea, then you use it a couple times, get bored and never use it again.

Be very wary!!! They are not really designed for kids(too powerful), usually badly built, difficult to get parts for and unreliable. Depends on the size of your little one, but the Yamaha PW series are better. the 50 is full auto and the 80 semi auto. Both two strokes and parts etc are readily available.

I went to an indoor mini moto track one evening with some mates , £35 i think including bike hire .

I was on the deck 5 times that night , great fun and exciting competition with your mates , but you have to be made of rubber to actually ride the bastards comfortably

After riding a proper bike why would you want one? (actually thinking about it why would you want one anyway?)

Indoor kart tracks on the proper Polini bikes is the way to go...great fun..the cheapies look good but are troublesome...& you can`t really use`em anywhere...attending the arrive & drive days at your nearest mini moto outfit is the best bet...
