Evening, I have just put an exhaust system on my 2001 rry blade and ever since that annoying red light on the clocks has been constantly on, does anybody know of any tricks to turn it off, or do i bite the bullett and purchase a power commander

It could be a genuine fault - I wouldn't expect the fuel injection and exhaust systems are dependent on each other. Only recently have bikes gone closed loop and used lambda sensors.

Well i have given honda the fault code and they say is is because i have done away with the cat and the sensor and if i take it to them they will basicly turn it off and no doubt charge me an arm and a leg, so iwas just wondering if any body had any cheats

Hmmm, if the exhaust has a cat fitted (didn't think you would have on a 2001 bike) then there ought to be a lambda sensor fitted in the exhaust system. Have you fitted a full system or an end can? An end can ought not to make that much difference, but if you've fitted a full system, you may need to fool the ECU that all is well. Some details here:

sounds like your FI/ECU light is on because you have junked the hi-vex/hi-tev system from the std downpipes

how many flashes does it give at a standstill with the bike in neutral?

did you do away with the servo motor for the exhaust valve H-VIX and flapper valve in the airbox

35 blinks tells you someting in that system isnt working/connected anymore?

ohh and it will stay on EVEN with a power commander
