Dropped the bl**dy bike the other day and have scuffed the frame - question is, how should this be dealt with from an repair point of view? Are they easy enough to paint and therefore hide the damage for future resale? Arghhhhhh - so angry with myself!

It's going to be an insurance job as the fairing is also cracked frown

Still, had a fantastic few days blasting so not all bad - she's kind of like the Millennium Falcon, fastest looking piece of junk in the galaxy!

Personally I found it liberating when my bike fell over, it's something we always wait to happen with dread and fear. And when it went over, the wait was over, fix damage and move on smile

You can buy frame paint off Ebay, you might even get the fairing plastic-welded up... but from the sounds of it, yer bike is very new?

I was thinking it might be you who had already binned it twice. Gutted mate. On the plus side, the insurers sometimes write bikes off for frame damage, just because they're so hard to paint without stripping the bike right down - so, you could always go down that route, buy it back and have it as a track bike - et voila, you get a shiney new bike, plus an awesome track weapon smile

...and premiums that go through the roof for the next 5 years at least.

I'm in the habit of dropping bikes. Dropped the learner bike twice while trying to do a U-turn, then my husbands 5 hours after passing my DAS, then my own about a month ago. Was very upset when I dropped my hubbys (no damage) but didnt really give a monkeys when it was my own. Snapped the brake lever and scuffed the exhaust. I like to believe that my days off dropping bikes are over........watch this space! I think the scuffs give my bike character. Also, a little warning to others.....do not park near this bike!
