Just booked my first track time [Novice only track session at Cadwell] in a couple of weeks and I can’t wait!!

Just wondered if anyone could offer any advice, anything I should / shouldn’t be doing etc.

I’ve done quite a few trackdays in my car so I know the general qist of what goes on …. I also crashed my track car at Cadwell back in Feb so don’t really want a repeat of that!!

Will I need to put the standard can back on to pass the noise regs?

What's the noise limit? If it's 98db then yeah, I imagine you'll need to put a standard can back on.

It's usually 104db at Cadwell, so you should be fine with a race can. Good luck with your first track day.

Think it's 98db on Saturdays & Sundays / Quiet events and 105 rest of the time isn't it ????

Last one I did at Cadwell on a Saturday was my 40th last year, which was 104db. Two more this year at Cadwell which were also 104db

Two at Donnington this year, first one was Thursday 8th, full noise, second June 30th, quiet day.

I've also done Two at croft this year, which were full noise, as were all of them over the last 10 years. Nearly forgot about Knockhill, full noise, the sheep don't care about race pipes.

HTH.

Its 105dB ... whould this be ok with a race can? It does have a removable baffle I could fit if required.
